Boateng targets Champions League glory with Bayern

The defender is confident in the strength of the German champions and says he could stay at the club until he retires Jerome Boatengsaid that he believes Bayern Munichcan win the Champions League this season and has admitted he could remain at the club for the remainder of his career. The centre-back has been a key player for the Bundesliga side since his arrival from Manchester City in 2011.The Germany international has won three league titles and the Champions League with the Bavarians and insisted he has no intention of leaving any time soon as he targets further European glory. "I feel very comfortable here and I think that I have developed well at Bayern," he toldSport1."You never know what will happen in football, but I can absolutely imagine that I could retire here. "I can identify with the club and I am delighted that I can play here. "We have the potential to win the Champions League and in the other competitions. But other teams can do it too and it is always a very close fight." Bayern claimed another league title last term, with Wolfsburg coming well adrift in second, but Boateng is expecting a tough battle for the Bundesliga this term. "I think Borussia Dortmund will be strong again. Gladbach and Leverkusen also have very good teams," he warned. Boateng recently signed with hip-hop artist Jay Z's company Roc Nation Sport and is happy with the new relationship. "He is a successful person, a great person. That was something special to meet him for me. "He is very down to earth, very relaxed, very personable and absolutely a great guy. "We are not in touch every day or every week, but if I have something I want to say, I can always go to him."
