President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday gave the Service Chiefs three months to end the Boko Haram insurgency in the country. He gave the directive while officially decorating them with their new ranks. Those decorated are – Major-Gen. Abayomi Gabriel Olonishakin (Chief of Defence Staff), Major-Gen. T.Y. Buratai (Chief of Army Staff), Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (Chief of Naval Staff) and Air Vice Marshal Sadique Abubakar (Chief of Air Staff). President Buhari urged them to fashion out strategies to defeat the jihadists in next three months.
