Everton 0-2 Man City: Kolarov & Nasri maintain visitors' perfect start

Despite a resilient performance from Roberto Martinez's side, last season's runners-up make it three wins out of three in the Premier League with two second-half goalsManchester City continued their perfect start to the season with a hard-fought 2-0 win over Everton. The hosts enjoyed the best of the first half, going closest through Romelu Lukaku who hit the bar from a free kick just before the break, but Manuel Pellegrini's side stepped up in the second period. Everton were given a warning when David Silva hit the inside of the post after a matter of minutes and City went ahead when Sterling, who was booed throughout, fed Aleksandar Kolarov to finish from a tight angle. Roberto Martinez's side fought back, though, and with Joe Hart looking shaky at times nearly went ahead through a Gareth Barry header, but Vincent Kompany cleared off the line. But City held on, settling the game at the death thanks to Samir Nasri's deft finish to claim all three points.
