Mourinho: Chelsea have the 'moral right' to buy in the transfer window

The Portuguese believes that, due to competitive nature of the Premier League and their financial state, the defending champions are well within their rights to invest heavily Chelseamanager Jose Mourinhohas claimed that the Blues have the "moral right" to spend big in the transfer window, due to the strength in depth in the Premier League. The Premier League champions have brought Asmir Begovic and Falcao into the club this summer, but have also lost the likes of Didier Drogba, Petr Cech and Ryan Bertrand. And Mourinho believes that Chelsea are within their rights to spend heavily before the transfer window closes and moved to remind people that the Blues are in an excellent financial position after selling the likes of Kakuta, Romeu and David Luiz in recent times. "In the Premier League if you win the title, how many teams are able to react against that? A lot of them can react," Mourinho said. "You can go to Germany, how many teams can really react against Bayern Munich? In France, how many teams can react against Paris St-Germain’s power? "Here, Man City won [in 2014] and Chelsea was not happy, Man United was not happy, Arsenal was not happy and Liverpool was not happy. Chelsea [brought in] Diego Costa, Fabregas, Courtois.
