Official: Jonny Evans leaves Manchester United for West Brom

The Northern Ireland international ends his time at Old Trafford after 198 appearances to link up with former colleagues Darren Fletcher, Ben Foster and James Chester West Bromhave announced the signing of defender Jonny Evansfrom Manchester Unitedfor an undisclosed fee. The Northern Ireland international has agreed a four-year contract at the Hawthorns after falling out of favour with manager Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford. Evans had undergone a medical at the Baggies' training ground on Friday and now becomes their fifth new recruit of the summer. Evans's United career comes to an end just shy of making 200 appearances for the club in all competitions, his 18 games last season taking him to a total of 198.
