West Brom reject second Tottenham bid for Berahino-SPORTS-

A day after dismissing the 22-year-old's transfer request the Baggies confirm they have turned down an improved offer believed to be around £22 million from Spurs West Bromhave confirmed they have rejected a second bid from Tottenham- believed to be around the £22 million mark - for striker Saido Berahino. Berahino was left out of the Baggies squad that faced Chelsea on Sunday before boss Tony Pulis admitted that the 22-year-old was not mentally focused enough to feature in the game. On Monday West Brom confirmed that they had rejected a formal transfer request from Berahinoand despite Tottenham's latest approach, the club remain adamant their prized asset will not be sold this summer. "West Bromwich Albion can today confirm the club have rejected a second offer from Tottenham Hotspur for Saido Berahino," a statement on the club's official website read. Chairman Jeremy Peace added: "Our position remains unchanged. The sale of this player is not on our agenda." Berahino is understood to be Tottenham's top target as they look to provide attacking support for Harry Kane, who has scored just two goals in his last 11 Premier League matches.
