NNPC shake-up

Less than 24 hours after takeing over as the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, the new Sherif , Dr Kachikwu Ibe, has started the massive purge and cleansing of the Augean stables . All the nine Group Executive Director s have been asked to relocate to give way to enable the corporation carry out an unhindered forensic review and inquest into the rot in that sector over the last 16 years. I hope the parrots who went to town with their atrocious tales that the new man is in cohort with these league of sacked men before now can eat their words and hide their faces in shame. There is no going back in the pulling down of the old establishment in our oil and gas industry and rebuilding it with new bloods and minds as suggested by the Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, sometime ago. This country must work again and we must enjoy communally and collectively our God-given oil resources for the benefits of majority of us
