Kerry Katona's former rugby league player husband George Kay has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of attacking her and being armed with a Taser following an altercation at their home in Crowborough, East Sussex
The alleged altercation is just the latest in a string of claims to hit
the couple, who have a one-year-old daughter called Dylan-Jorge
together. The Atomic Kitten singer also has four other children from her
other marriages
George
Kay, who has been married to the Atomic Kitten singer for just over a
year, was allegedly detained by police on Saturday night following
reports a woman had been assaulted.
It
is alleged the 35-year-old lashed out at his popstar wife, also 35, who
was apparently left bruised and with cuts, after a drinking session.

According to The Sun's Dan Wootton, Kay was found in bushes near the couple's home in Crowborough, East Sussex, by officers.
A
Sussex Police spokesman said: 'On Saturday police were called to an
address in Crowborough after a report that a woman had been assaulted.
'A
35-year-old man was arrested at the address on suspicion of causing
actual bodily harm to a 35-year old woman, and of unlawful possession of
a Taser.
'The woman had sustained bruising to her face and arms.'
Police confirmed Kay had been released on bail until October 24
The alleged
altercation is just the latest in a string of claims to hit the couple,
who have a one-year-old daughter called Dylan-Jorge together.
In
August, claims emerged that Kay – a former bodyguard – had been
arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery following a
carjacking in Bushey, Hertfordshire.
He
was said to have been among a group of men - aged between 20 and 66 –
who allegedly assaulted a driver of a Mercedes C-Class, aged in his 50s,
before fleeing the scene with two bags full of jewellery.
A second victim was then attacked in a nearby street, before the group stole his Honda Jazz.
George Kay, a former bodyguard who is pictured here with wife Kerry and
their daughter Dylan-Jorge, was reportedly kicked out of the family home
earlier this year following claims she was sick of his 'party
lifestyle'
Over the
last few months, Kay has also been welcomed back into the family home
after Katona – who is also mother to children Molly, Lilly-Sue, Heidi
and Max – kicked him out.
It
was reported that she had ordered the ex-rugby player to move out
because she was sick of his 'party lifestyle' and the countless
occasions in which he had simply 'gone missing'.
It
later emerged that Kay may have been sent to hospital the night he was
kicked out of the family home after reportedly suffering an 'episode' at
a hotel in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
It
came just a year after Kay was detained under the Mental Health Act
after suffering a public meltdown ahead of his wedding to Katona.
He was
taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford after he was found
running down the road outside their home shouting that someone was going
to kill him.
She
vowed to 'help [him] win this fight' after he admitted that the episode
arose out of a combination of 'sleeping pills, drinking and taking
steroids.'
After
they married, the couple's relationship was called into question again
when Kay revealed his doubts over whether they 'should even be
together.'
In
an interview with Closer magazine, he said: 'It's been tough lately.
We've been rowing a lot. Marriage isn't what I thought it would be to be
honest.
'There have been times I've thought we might not last. In my darkest moments I've wondered if we should even be together.'
Kay, who is pictured with Katona's children in this family photo, has been bailed by police until October 24
He admitted
that his desire to provide for his family, combined with dealing with
bankruptcy, had led to some of their more explosive rows.
'We
argue a lot of money issues,' he said. 'We have to live within a strict
budget and that's tough. We're both fiery characters, too, so that
doesn't help things.'
They
married after a whirlwind relationship having started dating in secret
just one year after he was released from prison for blackmail.
Kay
served half his six-year sentence after being convicted at a trial at
Manchester Crown Court for two counts of blackmail in November 2008.
Previously,
Katona was first famously married to fellow pop band member Brian
McFadden, who was at the time a member of Irish boyband Westlife.
They were married for four years and had two children together, Molly and Lilly-Sue before separating in 2006.
The
singer and former queen of the I'm A Celebrity... jungle followed up
her marriage to McFadden with a four-year union with Mark Croft, who she
met when he allegedly tried to supply drugs to her mother Sue.
Representatives of Kerry Katona and George Kay declined to comment.
