The Super Eagles coach has elected to come and watch his team’s game against Burkina Faso in Port Harcourt despite his health issues
Super Eagles’ coach Sunday Oliseh has arrived the camp of the team ahead of this evening's African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier against the Stallions of Burkina Faso after landing in Port Harcourt on Friday evening.
It was evident that the coach was ill from his physical demeanour when he got to the Hotel Presidential base of the team.
Goal was told that Oliseh, who has been down after the two friendly matches played by the Eagles in Belgium last week, insisted on coming for the CHAN qualifier despite his health because he would like to watch and also cheer his boys to victory.
Oliseh won’t be taking the lead ahead of the game as his assistant Salisu Yusuf would handle the match but he would be contributing his quota to the team either from the bench or from the stands.
The former Eagles captain failed to speak to the press on his arrival and he even turned down appeals for photographs from some of his fans stating that he should be excused for now.
